Yacht birthday party is a very special type of celebration. Each client has a unique personality. The guests being invited are also very different. This time our client was an extremely sophisticated lady. Her class was obvious from our very first meeting. Successful business lady, architect, and fashionista are just some of her numerous facets.
We were sure that mega yacht Christina O – the most historic and luxurious yacht available for charter – would be the perfect venue for this birthday.
Christina O used to belong to Aristotle Onassis and was named after his first-born daughter. It welcomed aboard many film stars, key politicians, bankers and businessmen of the time.
The famous guests who enjoyed the sea on the board of Christina O included the Kennedys, Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Maria Callas and many others.
All the authentic features of Christina O are perfectly preserved. The original areas, including the Onassis Suite, the famous Ari’s Bar and the concert room remain intact from the times when they were created for their famous owner.
Guest cabins have been completely refurbished in accordance to the original style. They kept the names of Greek islands, as accorded by Onassis. Jackie O herself selected the pastel color schemes and décor of cabins to keep the everlasting ambiance of the interior spaces.
Christina O was an icon of her time, representing the special age, an era of giants, and her legendary owner virtually wrote the manual for today’s superyacht lifestyle.
The guests of our party were the modern elite. They were greeted by cocktail party prepared by the yacht’s Michelin-starred chef.
In order to make the party even more special, we invited Jean-Claude Jitrois to stage a private fashion show for our client and her guests.
Among all the great fashion designers Jean-Claude Jitrois is the unrivaled master of leather pieces. A style revolutionist, Jitrois was the first designer to inject color into leather.
He introduced leather garments to the world of fashion and created some of the iconic images of the time. Princess Stephanie of Monaco was one of Jitrois’ first clients, who highly appreciated the couturier’s talent, and wore his creations to major social events, like Bal de la Rose in Monte Carlo.
The first walk of Jitrois fashion house creations followed the cocktail.
Meantime the yacht arrived at the bay of Eze-Sur-Mer where our guests had some great time enjoying the amazing French Riviera sea. Their thoughts of the gleaming blue of Cote D’Azur evoked serene smiles on their faces.
After swimming, the host invited everybody for the dinner to the luxurious dining room.
Christina O virtuous chefs managed to surprise the guests with series of gastronomic masterpieces.
The five-star dinner was followed by another walk of special creations by Jitrois fashion house which finished by the time our mega yacht arrived back in Monaco port.
