Most of what we do depends on other people being good at their part of it. If you run a venue, supply an event, plan for clients of your own or write about this industry, this is the page for you.
Who writes to us here
Venues and estates
Send us the brochure and the technical pack. What we need to know is capacity seated and standing, whether the supplier list is open or closed, what the hire actually covers, and the curfew. We visit before we recommend, so tell us when we can come.
Suppliers
Florists, production and technical, catering, entertainment, photography and film, transport, security. We keep a base of more than 100,000 across Europe with the pros and cons we have been able to collect, and we add to it constantly.
Planners and agencies
If a client of yours is marrying somewhere we work and you would rather not run it at a distance, we take the ground and you keep the relationship. We also refer the other way, in the countries we do not cover.
Press and media
We can talk about how this work is done, what it costs and what goes wrong, in as much detail as you like. What we cannot do is name a client or supply a photograph of a wedding without the couple agreeing to it first, which is not always quick.
How we work with people
Our clients pay a fixed fee and pay every supplier directly, so nothing routes through us and we take no commission on what anybody charges. That is worth saying plainly here: we will not ask you for a percentage, and we are not interested in an arrangement that depends on one.
What we do ask for is the truth about capacity, availability and price, early. A venue that tells us in month one what it cannot do is worth more to us than one that tells us in month six.
