The former residence of Prince Roland Bonaparte overlooks the Eiffel Tower and River Seine. This palace is where Parisian wedding elegance still lives in the French capital.
Shangri-La Paris was born in December 2010 after it had been lovingly restored to its former glory. The hotel is centrally located in the 16th district, just minutes from Champs-Elysees or shopping on Avenue Montaigne. It offers 100 rooms, a bar, and two restaurants that combine traditional Asian hospitality with European grandeur.
Shangri-La Hotel has 63 rooms, 33 suites, and 4 signature suites that offer a Parisian ambiance. 31 rooms offer a spectacular view of the Eiffel tower. The luxurious bedrooms feature a relaxing space and natural wooden flooring. All bathrooms are made in marble and include a bathtub and separate shower.
These venues recall the most exquisite receptions in Paris at the end of the nineteenth century, which were held at the residence of Prince Roland Bonaparte or his mother and daughter. The Grand Salon, Salle a Manger & Salon de Famille, three communicative function rooms that are classified as Historical Monuments, offering a total of 350 square meters, look out on the Gallery on the first level and the terrace with a magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower.
The function rooms at Shangri-La Paris have been restored to their original splendor to host elegant events. These beautiful areas have seven-meter (21ft high) ceilings and can accommodate any type of event including weddings of up to 270 guests in the 3 rooms combined.
The Grand Salon is decorated in a Louis XIV style and serves as the primary reception space for the palace, both during Prince’s times and now for Shangri-La Paris weddings.
The large fireplace in the room is made of white marble and decorated with bronze and a mirror from Rumeaux.
The room is graced by originals from Bonaparte’s family, including bronze wall appliques and two golden tables, as well as two crystal chandeliers.
The biggest of the Historical Rooms, it can accommodate up to 120 guests for a seated reception or 150 for the ceremony.
The Salle à Manger is dedicated to the glory and honor of the Emperor and features mahogany carvings in the upper arches of the salon’s doors. It is perfect for up to 96 guests in a banquet or 90 attending your wedding ceremony.
The room is home to two large eagle statues, each with spread wings. A Renaissance-inspired fireplace is topped by a dual-columned top. It frames a bronze relief copy of David’s Napoleon Crossing the Alps. This is a beautiful room for your wedding in Shangri-La Paris hotel.
The Salon de Famille has a predominant Empire-inspired decoration. The Salon de Famille’s paneled walls feature winged women surrounded by a medallion.
The ceiling is decorated with sphinxes, plants, and an orb. The room is filled with delicate blue tones and artistic touches that give it surprising femininity.
An ideal luxury venue for smaller celebrations of up to 84 guests in banquet or 40 attending your ceremony.
Salon Roland Bonaparte is located on the Avenue Fresnel side. It is large and well-equipped with the latest technology. Mural paintings adorn the walls.
The stone arch that was once the entrance to Prince Roland Bonaparte’s stables plays the role of one of the focal points. Large windows contrast with the antique decorations.
This is the biggest ballroom of the palace capable of welcoming up to 200 guests.
Shangri-La Paris is an exceptional venue. It is perfect for demanding clientele looking for a one-stop destination venue in the city of lights. You and your guests can stay in the luxury suites, enjoy a breathtaking ceremony in one of the Historical Rooms like Salon de Famille, and conclude the evening with the reception in another like the Grand Salon.
Despite the grand spaces of the ballrooms, we would recommend Shangri-La for weddings of up to 100 guests. This number of participants would allow you to enjoy the best this palace has to offer in the most natural manner.
Taking into account the style of the spaces, a classic string quartet or a jazz band will be your best choice for musical entertainment. The menu crafted by the Michelin-starred chef deserves a special tasting trip before your wedding. Our team is at your disposal to arrange venue scouting and tasting during your voyage to Paris.
